Rems-Murr-Kliniken: From problem child to role model
The new building is causing problems.
The inauguration of the Rems-Murr-Klinikum Winnenden building in 2013 was met with great interest, but got off to the worst possible start. After years of discussion about the controversial new building and subsequent delays and cost increases, the hospital management and the shareholder finally adopted a medical concept in 2017. A public information campaign provided intensive communication support and helped convince people of the quality of the medical and nursing services.
Image transformation through a communications offensive
Public information events, print materials and intensive press work made people in the Rems-Murr district and beyond aware of the expanded range of services offered by Rems-Murr-Kliniken, a development made possible by the new building in Winnenden and the established site in Schorndorf.
Lasting reputation improvement:
Transparent communication of the medical concept, alongside additional channels and measures, has successfully transformed the company’s image in the media and among the public, turning it from a problem child into a top performer in cutting-edge medicine. Open internal communication has improved cohesion and increased trust in management decisions.
