ONEO: Shaping the future of energy

Energy transition with tradition

ONEO is an energy company that combines the best of two worlds: traditional oil and gas production, and the development of renewable energies. The site in Ampfing has a long-standing tradition of oil production, and ONEO aims to continue this legacy by reopening existing fields. This was challenging in terms of communication, as historical oil production is an important part of the town’s identity, yet the switch to renewable energies is widely supported throughout Germany. We have been supporting ONEO for several years. Our aim is to facilitate dialogue and transparency throughout the entire communication process in order to establish basic trust and acceptance for the project.

Transformation on all levels

The extensive and continuous communication measures that accompanied the ‘traditional project’ at every stage have created a positive mood among politicians, citizens and the media.

The project has now entered a new phase. The site is being prepared for the utilisation of geothermal energy as part of inter-municipal cooperation between several municipalities in the district. This transformation towards joint geothermal energy utilisation will stimulate regional development and innovation, benefiting all municipalities and their citizens. E&Z is still driving the project forward in terms of content and communication. A real project for the future!
