ONEO: New energy for old sites

The energy company ONEO has always combined the best of both worlds: traditional oil and gas production with the development of renewable energies. A pilot project has now been realised in the Pfalz region: Photovoltaic systems have been installed at two decommissioned oil production sites in Landau – turning old into new! ONEO is now utilising the existing areas here to produce green electricity, which is fed into the regional power grid. ONEO is thus generating new energy without sealing new areas.

Engel & Zimmermann was responsible for the municipal dialogue and media support for this pioneering project and thus for nothing less than positioning ONEO as an innovator in the energy market.

And it continues: ONEO will continue to make a contribution to the economic, ecological and decentralised restructuring of the energy supply with the geothermal reuse of oil production sites. An exciting challenge for our local communications. We will continue to talk about tomorrow.
